This report describes a synchronous machine model with magnetic saturation in d-axis, neutralconnection and electrical exciter interface for the transient simulator PSCAD/EMTDC. This thesis studies the negative impact that control signal saturation may have on a controlled system. Different methods that are used to compensate for this problem are also studied and evaluated. Both sensitivity to disturbances and the effect the method has on the systems'ability to follow a reference signal will be examined. Stability will be discussed, but no conclusions whether the systems are stabilized or not can be drawn. Control signal saturation will lead to a slower behavior in general.

This thesis investigates how the level of implementation of New Public Management affects an organization?s efficiency. According to theory, a high level of implementation leads to a more efficient organization. This thesis is based on two case studies conducted on two units within Stockholms Stad. This degree theme work aims to evaluate the present ICC-profile and printing ink of Dalarnas Tidningar AB. The companyhas changed printing ink quality and wants to evaluate how the present ICC-profile work with the new printingink. Four different ICC-profiles were included in the comparison.One test printing was accomplished with two different separations. Two new ICC-profile was created, as a comparingmaterial. An densitometer was used to measure the technical parameters of the printing.

Our essay is about the grammar structure that the participants in A- and B- level of a school in the middle of Sweden, in the subject, Swedish as a second language, process. We have collected written productions from an A-level group and a B-level group and made a comparison between them morphologically and syntactically according to the processability theory by Pienemann.Processability theory was applied to Swedish by Pienemann & Håkansson (1999), with five steps in syntax and four steps in morphology. It turned out that the B-level group had much higher processing level of grammar than the A level group and one of the reasons for this can be that grammar is explicitly taught during the first year of studying Swedish as a second language in the school we have chosen to study..

The sea-level is rising due to climate change. This report inquires into the possibleconsequences of sea-level rise in Värmdö and its archipelago with particular focus on roadsand buildings. Four scenarios with a sea-level rise of 0.5, 1.5, 2.5 meter and a worst casescenario of 3.9 meter are analyzed using a geographic information system (GIS) calledarcMap. The report also examines how Värmdö is taking into account future sea-level rise intheir planning today. The report´s findings show that uplift and sea-level rise cancel eachother out in the scenario with a sea-level rise of 0.5 meter, but that a number of more or lessimportant roads and buildings will be affected by a rise of 1.5 meters.

SAMMANFATTNINGSyfte.Studiens syfte var att undersöka dokumentationen av de vitalparametrar som ingår i MEWS samt saturation på kirurgiska vårdavdelningar för patienter som på grund av akut försämring överförts till intensivvårdsavdelning och därmed bidra till ett underlag för utvärdering av MEWS som bedömningsverktyg. Metod.För studien valdes kvantitativ tvärsnittsstudie som studiedesign. Journaler för patienter som förflyttats från en kirurgisk vårdavdelning till Centrala Intensivvårdsavdelningen (CIVA) på grund av akut försämrat tillstånd under våren 2011 granskades. Av 158 granskade journaler motsvarade 19 inklusionskriterierna och värderades genom utarbetad granskningsmall innehållande samtliga vitalparametrar som ingår i MEWS varefter beräkning av MEWS- poäng utfördes. Resultat.I snitt dokumenterades mätvärden från fyra av de sex parametrarna i journalerna vilket visar på att dokumentationen av de vitala parametrarna är ofullständig på de granskade kirurgiska vårdavdelningarna.

The aim for this essay is to investigate the importance of studying religion in an upper secondary school in Närke county, this is done by distribution of a questionnaire. The importance is studied both on the individual level and on the societal level. This thesis deals with our heritage and the care of old buildings. In order to limit this vast area a specific attention has been brought upon the process of giving buildings a certain level of protection and after decision having it taken away, instead of giving a stronger protection level.Further limitation has been done through the choice of four buildings in Lund, within Lund University campus. These buildings all lost this certain level of protection. The participants in these kinds of cases have a level of power, what argumentation did they use?The methods being used are discourse analysis, phenomenology and the daily methods of the building care field..

Due to global climate change and the rising levels of greenhouse gases (GHG) in the atmosphere, the interest for seeking solutions for mitigation has increased. While much attention has been directed towards technical solutions such as carbon capture and storage (CCS), biogenic carbon sinks has also garnered significant attention. Previous studies have shown that coastal ecosystems such as seagrass meadows and mangroves have a much greater capacity for storing carbon (C) compared to terrestrial ecosystems. That raises the question if other coastal ecosystems, such as coastal wetland forests, that previously haven?t been considered as blue carbon habitats also contribute to coastal carbon sink capacity.

This paper asks questions about the level of education level among members of the Swedish parliament, Riksdagen. The answers are found by studying biographic data over members of parliament between 1971 and 2006. In 1971 a new riksdag, enkammarriksdagen which consists of one ?House?, was founded.

Kroniskt obstruktiv lungsjukdom (KOL) är ett kroniskt tillstånd med ökad slembildning och svullnad i slemhinnorna vilket innebär att luft får svårt att passera genom luftrören. KOL beskrivs som en långsamt progredierande lungsjukdom. Symtom som är karaktäristiska vid KOL är hosta, sputum-produktion och dyspné vid ansträngning. Rökning är en mycket viktig bakomliggande orsak till KOL. Allt eftersom sjukdomen utvecklas får personerna svårare och svårare att genomföra aktiviteter som kräver liten fysisk kapacitet som till exempel att klä på sig, äta mat och sköta sin morgon- och kvällstoalett.
